FEI Level Rider, Competitor, Coach, AEF Judge, EC Registered Coach and EC Medium Judge

Rebecca, like most equestrian professionals, has had a lifelong passion and love for horses! She began riding when she was eight at a local stable. Dressage became her sole focus when she was 15. She received the ride on a Lusitano gelding whom she trained and competed to the Medium level.

In 1997 she purchased her mare Maya. Rebecca and Maya enjoyed 23 years together! During their career they were fortunate to work with many top professionals in the industry. Kent Williamson, Sharon Merkel-Beattie, Dagmar Fortmuller, Henk Glijn, Albrecht Heidemann, Bonny Bonnello, and for the past 12 years Crystal Kroetch. Maya was Rebecca’s first FEI horse. Maya passed away fit and sound in 2019. Rebecca owes all that she knows as a horsewoman to this very special horse.

Rebecca began to work with Quillin FC a Friesian gelding who is owned by Janneke Poot in 2010. In 2014 Quillin received his Sport Predicate and then in 2018 his Elite Predicate. He is the second Friesian in Canada to have his Elite distinction but the first Friesian to receive it fully trained here in Canada! In 2003, Rebecca started her business RC Dressage which operates out of Burnt Lake Stables. She offers training and lessons from beginner to FEI level with focus on developing happy, confident and well-rounded partnerships either for the show ring or recreation. She takes personal pride in watching her students become better riders, successful competitors and most of all creating a bond with their horse.

Rebecca became an EC Recorded Judge in 2012 and an AEF Judge the same year. She then upgraded to an EC Basic Judge in 2015. In 2021 she received her EC Registered Coach and EC Medium Judge certification.
